Problem Description

This problem is only found on Apple Mac systems.

You receive the following error when you run ScriptureDirect:

• Application Error: This application requires Shockwave Player 10, which can not be found. Click OK to download it.

Reason

ScriptureDirect requires version 10 of the Adobe Shockwave player to be installed. Clicking OK will not start the download.

Solution

Please follow these instruction to resolve the issue:

1. Visit the following website:
   http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp
2. The page will open in a new windows. Find the following link on the page and click it:
   

   Slim Installer

   For OS X

   Shockwave Player 10

3. A new window will open and the Shockwave_Installer_Slim.dmg file will begin downloading.
4. Run the installer and follow all the prompts.
5. After the installation has finished open ScriptureDirect again. It may download additional files after which ScriptureDirect should open.
